	Bronzing & Hot Stamp is a term for a difference in the surface shine of a gloss or luster paper and the surface shine of the applied inks. If an image was printed featuring a dark area (heavily inked) next to a white area (no ink) an obvious difference in surface shine could be seen.

Stamping is an economical and compact solution for coating single cards and involves stamping the magnetic foil directly onto the finished card. A heated stamping wheel releases the wafer-thin lacquer layer from the polyester carrier by means of heat and pressure and bonds it firmly to the substrate by means of the adhesive primer. In the case of the roll-on stamping process, the magnetic stripe lies slightly raised on the card surface.
